This really is a good day out if you can get the timing right. We haven't been for a while but if I remember correctly there is a recorded message that explains the numerous interesting points along the way. The railway line is the last remaining section of track that used to run all the way from Carentan and past St Jores and Lithaire where the Cafe de la Gare once stood. This section is now an off road cycle track. The other thing worth mentioning is the fact that there is a small buffet car on in the train that sells ice cool bottles of cidre bouche, which is very welcome on a hot summer's day!
